Then it was off to get a nice relaxing Thai foot massage in the city. I have to say the girl at the massage place (Vigorous Thai Massage) was very very good at what she did. Not many people can actually make my feet feel like they've been in heaven. I really recommend going to them for a good foot massage. Honestly, can't say much about the whole body stuff because I never tried it.
A nice devonshire tea down the tea rooms (I'll have to speak about them at a later date. This place is truly AMAZING and deserves an entire blog entry by itself... For now, just live in suspense *grin*) after the massage and a romantic (if a little cumbersome with bags hanging off our arms) walk home finished the day off.
It was rather hot though and we were quite dehydrated (gah! remember the water next time!!). So a nice cool shower and a nap was prescribed to prepare for tonight's festivities.
At first we were planning on attending a local... err... shall we say "alternative" (no, mind out of the gutter please, no sex was/is involved at that place what-so-ever) club and then watching the fireworks. Sadly, we were still recovering from the loong walk through the city and the heat, we napped through most of the evening.
We managed to drag ourselves out of bed in time to leisurely stroll down to the Esplanade down in Docklands (NewQuay I think its called) and find a relatively good spot (read: squeezed and pushed through) just in time for the fireworks to begin its spectacular show.
A passionate New Year's kiss was in order as well *blush*
Finishing the night off with some fish and chips and a walk home, we collapsed into bed tired but extremely happy. I for one am glad that I've found happiness in such a short time.
I remember falling asleep wishing that this could last forever...
